Cavani is eager to return to training with the Paris Saint-Germain squad in Spain, as he waits to learn the fate of his future with the Ligue 1 champions. PSG, who play Barcelona in the International Champions Cup on Tuesday, have until the beginning of August to decide whether to buy Cavani or let him go on a free transfer at the end of the season.
That puts the Uruguayan international in a tricky position, as he is unlikely to play if he is not assured of a place in the squad.

Cavani has only ever featured for the French club in Ligue 1 matches, while he has spent much of his career in Italy, making 265 Serie A appearances for Roma, Milan, Brescia and Sampdoria.
He has scored 18 goals in 114 appearances for PSG, with his best performances coming when he was playing for Brescia, scoring 14 times and assisting 12 in 89 games. Cavani has also been capped by Uruguay on 13 occasions, scoring three goals.

Last season, he was selected by Uefa for the finals in France, scoring a wonderful free-kick for the hosts in the last 16 match against Real Madrid. He continued his good form into the semi-final, scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win over Barcelona. However, he missed the final after suffering a calf injury.
